Meet the Team
At fifteen, Dr. Park was drafted to play hockey at Hebron Academy in Maine. He would have missed his draft pick if it wasn’t for his Chiropractor. Terry suffered from scoliosis and was told by physicians that he would need to be in a body cast for an entire year, however; through chiropractic methods, Terry never wore that body cast. Terry knew then that he wanted to be a Chiropractor as he was determined to “give back to the profession that gave to me”.
Because of his Chiropractor, Terry was able to play hockey as a child, he received the scholarships he wanted and continued a very successful career in sports; (hockey, lacrosse, and football), throughout his time at Hebron Academy and New England College. His academic awards and achievements include; the Palmer International Scholarship, Academic Performance award, Outstanding Graduate award, a Cum Laude BA from New England where he was named on The National Dean's List and named All American Scholar. Terry applied these to under graduate studies as well as Chiropractic School at Palmer College of Chiropractic where he received his doctorate from Palmer Chiropractic College on Feb. 25, 2005.
Dr. Terry, originally from Newfoundland Canada, chose to practice in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan because of the similarities to home. While at Palmer, Terry vacationed in the UP with friends several times and he knew he wanted to stay in the States, fell in love with the area and moved here. He Opened Park Chiropractic in 2007.
Terry is now married to Michelle, a born and raised Yooper. He has a daughter; Aleana and 2 step-daughters; Lauren and Kaitlyn.
When not following his passion of healing everyday people from all walks of life, you will find him enjoying the outdoors, camping, being at camp, and spending time with his family. Dr. Terry is looking forward to meeting you – see you soon!
Leah Dompierre started with Park Chiropractic as a patient in the spring of 2008 due to a sports injury.
In April of 2009, she joined the team as part time office assistant. She is a Yooper from Negaunee; graduating from Negaunee High School in 2008. Leah left for a year to attend Central Michigan University, where she studied Psychology. Later, transferred to Northern Michigan University’s Nursing program where she found the medical field to be her passion. Although nursing is not where she landed, she graduated from NMU with a Degree as a Clinical Lab Tech. During college, she held her position with Park Chiropractic part time.
Fast forward 10 years, and Leah is now the Office Manager and THE magic that makes our office shine.
When Leah is not managing all things Chiropractic, she stays busy. Any season and any occasion, she enjoys the great outdoors of the UP, traveling both near and far, & attending various concerts along the way. She continues her love of sports by playing in volleyball & softball leagues year-round. She stays close and connected to her family, especially her partner Jared & her fur baby - Ella the Dachshund wiener dog.
Leah is who you will likely first see when arriving at our office. She always has a smile on her face and is ready to assist you and your family through the chiropractic process.
