Cary Rea, LMT

Growing up in Grand Haven on the shores of Lake Michigan, Cary was into many sports such as swim and dive teams at school, windsurfing, beach volleyball, skateboarding, mt biking and snowboarding. Fortunately he had a mom who introduced him to chiropractic care from an early age. Furthermore his mother is also an LMT, with her own successful career in the field. 

Cary has one adult daughter who is married, and lives downstate.  He enjoyed a career as a home carpenter/builder for 27 years.  Soreness and injuries were a constant part of the job, but chiropractic and massage care continued to keep him active and mobile.  Often traveling to the UP over the years visiting friends, he fell in love with the Marquette area.  In 2019 an opportunity arose to move to the UP, and in 2023 Cary achieved something he had often considered for many years; drawing inspiration from his mom, he became a licensed massage therapist.  He brings an intuitive and relaxing deep tissue Swedish massage, working through areas of tension while closely communicating with his clients.  Cary lives in Marquette with his partner Jess Weakman, who is also an LMT, as well as her three daughters and three cats.  The pair began Gemini Therapeutic Massage in 2023, offering individual sessions as well as couples’ massage and four handed massage.
